Happy Fathers Day

Yes Fathers Day has passed but let me take this moment to nod to all fathers out there no matter how shitty your situation is. Fathers who are married and not separated should be appreciated for their constant hard work that mostly passes unnoticed by their families at least one day of the year! After all you guys are a tremendous force in your children's lives and are the number one anti-oxidant to the cancers of crime, rape and future poverty etc. And for you fathers who have been treated like the lowest form of human life in all of society (never mind lower than the family dog, lower than the dam doormat!), the 90%+ of you who have lost custody and many of whom are living borderline poverty. Well it should be more like Fathers MONTH for you guys!

My father who works 70+ hours a week and is away most of the day, rarely has a moment to breath and Father's Day was no exception sadly. However I had to make him realize how much I appreciated and loved him, even if it only took a couple of minutes.

I knew that he regularly visits Africa due to his field of research and he believes that dangerous animals like lions will always try and kill humans without question and that they can never be seen as anything other than lethal. However I saw this documentary on TV called Dangerous Companions which was about this animal behaviorist called Kevin Richardson who spends his time living with lions, leopards and hyenas. I was so amazed at this man's incredible gift you can find some clips on youtube which I showed to Dad.

An Introduction (not part of the documentary):

Kevin playing with full-grown male lions:

Lion Cubs playtime:

The leopard looks kind of lonely!

Playing with lionesses:

And the best one of all:

Bit of a sad turn of events afterward but ends happy ultimately! Yeah you probably think (and hope if your a feminist) he'll get mauled one day and he did raise these lions since they were cubs so couldn't do this with wild lions but you have to admire a man who has such close relationships with some of the world's most dangerous predators without breaking their spirit. Yeah men are so emotionally retarded aren't they?

Dad was AMAZED!

Honest to god! You know there is something fucked up when a lioness offers her newborn cubs to a man when Western society tries its utmost to keep men away from their own babies!

Something that may also make or break your day that I don't have time to get into:

Top 10 animal dads. The Rhea bird, male sea horse and male lion particularly worthy of mention but at least they get a mention. The one about the mouse having sex until it dies was uncalled for in how the animal species viewing it describes it.

Excellent videos.

It's amazing to see how a lioness can trust a male of another species but many women don't trust the men of their own species.
